Nowadays there are a lot of solutions available on WordPress to display your team/staff members. Many will give you fancy design effects and animations, but keep in mind that those become obsolete and users just like clean and effective layouts. Remember that the main purpose of your team pages is presenting your team to your visitors, not flash them with fancy effects that might turn them away, instead of providing the ‘wow’ effect you think it might give. Keeping the design simple and minimalist will help with speed, usability and readability. Some key aspects of clean layouts:
- Less is More
- White Space for readability
- Faster Loading
- Responsive
Here are some examples of how to display your team members.
1) Rounded Corner Images with Info on Left

2) Round Images with Simple Border Style

3) Round Images with Information on Hover

4) Squared Images with Information on Hover

5) Table Layout

The examples above where all created with a plugin I originally developed in 2013 and been improving it ever since with user feedback. It passes the test of time since I kept the designs clean, without fancy animations that become obsolete or fancy design effects. There are currently almost 10.000 sites using layouts generated by my plugin.
