  • Interactive Geo Maps Transitions to New Ownership and a New Name

Interactive Geo Maps Transitions to New Ownership and a New Name

I’m happy to share some significant news about Interactive Geo Maps, a project that started almost 5 years ago. When I first launched this WordPress plugin, my goal was to create an intuitive, powerful tool for users to visualize data interactively on maps. Thanks to your support, Interactive Geo Maps has grown beyond my expectations.

However, as with any journey, there comes a time when you realize that the project has outgrown its initial vision. To truly take Interactive Geo Maps to the next level, it needed more than what I could provide alone. That’s why I’m excited to announce that the plugin has been acquired by a group of American investors, passionate about its potential and ready to bring fresh energy and resources to the table.

With this transition, Interactive Geo Maps has been rebranded as MapGeo. This new name reflects the plugin’s evolving nature and the exciting direction the new team plans to take. While I will no longer be at the helm, I have full confidence in the new owners’ ability to grow MapGeo into an even more robust tool that continues to serve your needs and exceeds your expectations.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your support over the past four years. Your feedback, ideas, and enthusiasm have been invaluable. I’m also wishing the new owners all the success in the world as they embark on this new chapter.

To learn more about the transition process, which involved our reseller Freemius, you can check this video:

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
